Members Asked for Final Vote to Form Partnership
with Columbia-Montour Visitors Bureau

The Chamber and Columbia-Montour Visitors Bureau have been in extensive discussions regarding the creation of an operational partnership between the two organizations. Following overwhelming support from a membership poll conducted in November, 2013, the operational structure has been developed by volunteer representatives from both organizations. The boards of both the Chamber and Visitors Bureau voted unanimously in July to recommend approval of the partnership to the respective memberships. Members are now being asked to participate in a final vote to make this exciting endeavor a reality!

The partnership seeks to improve the benefits and value to members through more efficient delivery of the services that both organizations provide, and increase the influence of our combined voices, while preserving both organizations. Members would automatically become members of both organizations. A brief narrative explaining the additional benefits to members, as well as the operational structure, is below. The deadline for members to submit a ballot to vote whether or not to enter into the partnership was Monday, August 11th. Chamber members can also vote in person at a special membership meeting on Thursday, August 19th at 7:45 a.m. at Autoneum in Bloomsburg. Every vote counts!
