The Chamber sponsored a seminar at the Moose Exchange in Downtown Bloomsburg on September 27, 2011 to help businesses understand the types of disaster assistance that are available and the application processes. Presenting were: Nancy Smithbower from the PA Department of Labor, discussing Disaster Unemployment Assistance; John Fredrick from the U.S. Small Business Administration, discussing Disaster Loan Assistance; and Ruth Hughes and Maureen Koch from the Small Business Development Center network, outlining their consulting assistance resources to help business owners through the SBA information gathering process.
