Fred Gaffney – President
Fred grew up in southern Columbia County and has worked directly with area businesses over a span of 20 years. He was originally with the Chamber for four and a half years as Director of Marketing and Communications and later Vice President before moving to the Finger Lakes Region of Upstate New York to become Executive Director of the Seneca County Chamber of Commerce in 2006. Matt Beltz – Director of Marketing and Communications
Matt joined the Chamber staff in the spring of 2017 with an extensive background in marketing. He has previously worked in marketing and communications at both Bucknell University and Geisinger Health System. Prior to that, he spent nine years in collegiate athletics communications, with stints at the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference and Penn State University. He holds a bachelor’s degree in communication from Central Connecticut State and a master’s in sport & leisure commerce from the University of Memphis. Phyllis Jones – Member Relations Representative
Phyllis began at the Chamber in June 2017. She serves as the office receptionist, handles inquiries for information about the area and many of the day-to-day duties in the front office. Debbie Sokol – Office Manager
Deb joined the Chamber in January, 2013. She is responsible for all accounts payable and receivable as well as office management duties. Deb is a graduate of Central Columbia High School. She received her bachelor degrees in Finance and Accounting in addition to a MBA from Bloomsburg University. Jeff Emanuel – Director, The Foundation of the Columbia Montour Chamber
Jeff accepted the Directorship of The Foundation in August of 2017. His diverse background as a Manager, Data Analyst, and Quality Analyst for organizations like Geisinger Health System, AASHTO and Lockheed Martin provide a unique industry perspective. This coupled with his kids-first approaches to life as a stay-at-home dad for the past six years, have made him appreciate the challenges of our area students, and how our local industries can partner with educators to ensure their future success.
